Kokatat Women's Hydrus Tempest Pants with Socks - Waterproof & Breathable Kayaking Pants for Cold Weather Paddling, Fishing & Outdoor Water Sports

1st of the year paddle in April, ice out only 7 days! I am 5'2" , 125lbs, so they are extra long on me, but then they don't bind sitting in the kayak. Good fit at waist with wide velcro closure, kept feet dry, wore neoprene socks underneath and had strap water shoes over the Kokatat dry sock. Water was cold, but feet and calves were DRY! Wore light leg layer underneath but with wind I should have worn warmer neoprene leggings underneath. Also wore my kayak splash top over my life jacket, and neoprene vest under my life jacket. Definitely worth the $$. I debated the Kokatat bootie or tall socks, but I am short and sometimes I am entering water that is above my knees near the takeout or put in, so the dry pants with socks attached was the right choice for me. Years ago I took a water safety workshop that had us float with fishing waders with belt cinched at the waist. I have no doubt the waist closure on these Kokatat dry pants with socks was equally secure.
